Denna bok är en proceedingspublikation från 2019 års symposium organiserat av NAF/NAAR i samarbete med Institutionen för arkitektur och samhällsbyggnadsteknik vid Chalmers. Institutionen bedriver forskning i arkitektur som en ”making disciplin” och en ”material practice”. Detta synsätt inbegriper ett stort intresse för en utveckling av arkitekturforskning som tillämpning av design- och praxisbaserade metoder, ofta kombinerat i tvärvetenskapliga metoder anpassade från vetenskapliga discipliner, samhällsvetenskap, humaniora och konst.
The present book is a proceedings publication from the 2019 symposium, organized by NAF/NAAR in collaboration with the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at Chalmers. The Department is engaged in research that develops architecture as a so-called ‘making discipline’ and ‘material practice’. This perspective has developed a keen interest in and knowledge production in architecture that specifically applies design- and practice-based methods such as projective research, often combined in transdisciplinary methods adapted from scientific disciplines, the social sciences, the humanities, and the fine arts.
