08-2022 Living Landscapes, Living Cities

Researchers: Pi Ekblom, Ulrika Stenkula

The project created a time collage of the system chain from forest to timber architecture and the relationship between humans and forest landscape in the Central Basin, Thailand. Different actors (human and non-human) and events appear in the past, present and future. During a delegation trip to Bangkok, contacts were made with, among others, the Arsomsilp office. The illustrations have also inspired a Thai delegation in Stockholm. The work is part of the project The Wood Solution run by the Eco Innovation Foundation where additional funding has been sought by the Thai Innovation Authority with the aim of building up the Thai ecosystem of actors in a sustainable forest industry driven by sustainable timber architecture.
